Interoperability issues are usually complex, often requiring consideration from different viewpoints. Despite
the complexities, the service providers demonstrated a high degree of awareness, insight, and
responsiveness of the interoperability issues. The reflections made by the service providers are useful for
achieving interoperability in practice. The development of interoperability frameworks should leverage on
engagement with the right stakeholders e.g. service providers, end-users, policy makers, funders etc.
Comparing different types of services using a homogenous set of questions is difficult because of the unique
characteristics among the services. In future, this may be solved by conducting analyses in the context of
each service type and/or user base. Such comprehensive evaluations for further development would
require high degrees of coordination.
